ODE TO SHARON TATE
When I first heard I was taken aghast
And at the time I did not realize the sorrow would last
Words are not sufficient and they cannot convey
The pain and sadness we feel to this day
For you, O Sharon Tate, beautiful and young
Anticipant with child and gleeful among
Your face could launch a thousand ships
With those beautiful almond eyes and pink rosy lips
You did not deserve such a cruel fate
One so sweet and innocent as Sharon Tate
But now you are where they can do you no harm
A radiant angel sitting on God's arm
